HIV/AIDS prevention and Sexual Health Information

HIV/AIDS prevention and good sexual health are an important part of being young, gay and sexually active in London.

OutZone regularly conducts safer sex, sexual health awareness and HIV/AIDS prevention sessions as part of it’s weekly programme of events for young men. Girl Diva follows a similar programme, with an emphasis placed on women’s health and well being.

  • Free condoms (and lube) are available at weekly group sessions, along with leaflets and other resources you can take away. You can also pop in to OutZone HQ and pick some up during office hours.
  • Youthwork staff are available for confidential one to one information and support sessions about any sexual health matter, and are usually able to arrange HIV/AIDS and STI screening appointments for you at Zone 15 (in St. Ann's Hospital, Haringey) on Tuesday evenings between 5.30 and 8.30pm.
  • Don’t forget: Check-ups at NHS GUM clinics are FREE and totally confidential.

Supported Sexual Health Clinic Visits:

Did you know that OutZone members can can request a 'supported visit' to St. Ann's Sexual Health Centre in Haringey?

This means that one of our Senior Youth Workers will help you arrange a confidential* clinic visit - if you need that little bit of extra support to get yourself screened and sorted, or if it’s the first time you have needed/wanted to get yourself tested, but are feeling a bit unsure about the whole process.

Talk to one of the youth workers on your next visit to OutZone or drop us a line for further details. (Note: This service is currently only available to young people who make use of our face to face services.) We guarantee to respect your privacy and confidentiality.
